Applicants must complete and submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) by August 15th each year. LOIs must be submitted online through our Grant Portal. Paper applications will not be accepted.
Applicants will be notified by September 15th if their LOI has been accepted.
Successful applicants will be invited to submit a complete grant request by October 15th.
NOTE: Due to Hurricane Irma, submissions of applications have been extended to October 25, 2017 for the 2018 Grant Process.
Selected requests that meet the Foundation’s guidelines will be scheduled for on-site visits by members of the Grants Committee between December and April. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis from December through May
Applicants MUST notify the Foundation if there are any changes to the grant request after the proposal is submitted and before a scheduled on-site visit.
Priorities for funding will vary from time to time. Even though a project meets established criteria, it may not be selected for visitation because of limited funds or other reasons.
If a grant is awarded, the recipients will be advised of the amount and complete terms of the grant after monthly Grants Committee meetings.
Recipients are required to sign a Grant Award contract.
At the conclusion of the funded project, grantees are required to complete a Grant Accountability Report online detailing how the funds were used.
When a grant is awarded covering less than the total cost of the requested capital item or project, Foundation funds will be released when all monies needed to purchase the item or complete the project are in hand.
The decisions of the Grants Committee are final.
